Age Calculator
Can I calculate age on a date in the past?
Yes. Choose any date on or after the date of birth in the “Calculate age on” field.
How are leap-day birthdays handled?
The age is based on completed calendar years. The next-birthday display follows the browser calendar date rules for the selected year.
Auto loan calculator
Does this look up my local taxes?
No. Enter your own tax rate and fees. The estimate applies sales tax to the full entered vehicle price.
Can I use a zero interest rate?
Yes. At 0%, the financed amount is divided by the number of monthly payments.
Baby Age Calculator
How do I calculate baby age in weeks?
Count the exact calendar days from birth to the comparison date. Divide by seven for completed weeks and keep the remainder as extra days. Months are not assumed to contain four weeks.
What happens for a birth on the 29th, 30th or 31st?
If the birth day does not exist in a target month, use that month’s last day. Each later milestone is calculated again from the original birth date, so dates do not drift.
Can I calculate the age on a future date?
Yes. Set Calculate age on to a future date that is on or after the birth date.
Is this corrected age for a premature baby?
No. It reports calendar age only and does not adjust for gestational age or replace advice from a qualified clinician.
BMI calculator
Is BMI a diagnosis?
No. It is one screening measure and does not directly measure body fat, muscle, or individual health.
Can children use this calculator?
No. Children and teens require age- and sex-specific growth-chart interpretation.
Body fat calculator
Is this the current military body-composition standard?
No. It implements historical circumference equations for education, not current service eligibility rules.
Why can a measurement be rejected?
The logarithms require a positive circumference difference, and physically implausible results are rejected rather than presented as reliable.
Calorie calculator
Are these exact calorie needs?
No. Individual energy needs can differ substantially. The result combines a predictive equation with a rough activity assumption.
Does this prescribe a calorie deficit?
No. It estimates maintenance only and does not recommend a weight-loss intake.
Concrete volume calculator
Does this calculate cost?
No. Material prices, delivery, labor, reinforcement, and site preparation vary and are not included.
Is the waste allowance a recommendation?
No. It is an editable assumption. Confirm the appropriate order quantity with your supplier.
Fraction calculator
Can a denominator be negative?
Yes. The result is normalized so its denominator is positive.
Why are denominators not allowed to be zero?
Division by zero does not define a fraction.
GPA calculator
Can I enter letter grades?
Convert letter grades to your school’s 0–4 grade-point values first. This tool does not assume a school-specific conversion.
Why do the two lists need the same length?
Each grade-point value must have its corresponding course-credit value.
Ideal weight calculator
Should I aim for this exact weight?
No. This historical equation does not determine an appropriate personal weight or treatment target.
Why is there a minimum height?
This implementation does not extrapolate the above-five-feet equation to shorter heights.
Mean median mode range calculator
Can there be more than one mode?
Yes. Values tied for the highest frequency are all shown when that frequency is greater than one.
Are negative numbers supported?
Yes. Negative numbers, decimals, and scientific notation are accepted.
Percent to decimal calculator
How do I convert percent to decimal?
Divide the percentage number by 100. For example, 7% is 0.07 and 0.5% is 0.005.
Can a decimal multiplier be greater than 1 or negative?
Yes. Percentages above 100% give multipliers greater than 1, and negative percentages give negative multipliers. The conversion itself does not restrict which values make sense in your application.
How do I convert a decimal back to percent?
Multiply the decimal by 100 and append the percent sign. For example, 0.125 × 100 = 12.5%.
Percent to goal calculator
Can progress exceed 100%?
Yes. Exceeding the target produces progress above 100%. The remaining amount stays at zero and the amount above goal shows the excess.
Why can't the goal be zero?
Progress divides by the goal. Division by zero is undefined, even when the achieved amount is also zero.
Is percent to goal the same as percentage change?
No. Percent to goal divides an achieved amount by a target. Percentage change compares the difference between a new and an original value with the original baseline.
Can I use this for money or fractional amounts?
Yes. Both inputs may contain decimals. Use the same currency or unit for both; no currency conversion or rounding to whole tasks is applied.
Percentage calculator
Can the percentage exceed 100?
Yes. For example, 150% of 80 is 120.
Can values be negative?
Yes. Signed numeric values are supported.
Pregnancy due date calculator
Will birth happen on this exact date?
Not necessarily. A due date is an estimate, not a prediction of the actual delivery date.
Should this override my clinician’s date?
No. Discuss dating with your clinician, particularly for irregular cycles, ultrasound differences, or fertility treatment.
Quadratic equation calculator
What if the discriminant is negative?
The calculator displays the complex-conjugate roots.
Can a be zero?
No. With a equal to zero, the equation is not quadratic.
Retirement savings calculator
Is the projected balance guaranteed?
No. Actual investment returns vary. This is a constant-rate mathematical scenario.
Is the withdrawal rate a recommendation?
No. The entered percentage only illustrates an annual amount; it does not model how long the portfolio will last.
Salary to hourly calculator
Does this include income tax?
No. All amounts are gross, before taxes and deductions. This is not a net-income or take-home-pay calculator.
Should I enter 52 weeks or subtract vacation?
Include paid vacation if it is covered by the annual salary. Use fewer weeks for unpaid time only when the salary entered represents pay for that shorter paid period. Keeping the basis consistent avoids overstating the hourly rate.
Can I use a part-time or fractional schedule?
Yes. Hours and paid weeks can contain decimals, within the displayed limits. Zero salary is allowed; hours and weeks must be positive.
Is the hourly equivalent an overtime rate?
No. It is annual gross salary divided by estimated paid hours. It does not determine overtime eligibility, a legal wage rate, or an employer's payroll calculation.
Scientific calculator
Can I use 2pi without a multiplication sign?
No. Enter 2*pi. Multiplication must be explicit.
What happens for invalid real-number operations?
Division by zero, invalid logarithms, and non-real roots produce a clear error instead of a numeric result.
Simple interest calculator
How is this different from compound interest?
Simple interest is calculated only on the original principal. Compound interest can also earn interest on earlier interest.
Can I enter months?
Divide months by 12 to enter a fractional year, such as 0.5 for six months.
Standard deviation calculator
Which option should I choose?
Use population when the data comprise the whole population of interest; use sample when estimating population variability from a sample.
Can sample deviation use just one value?
No. Its denominator n − 1 would be zero.
Time duration calculator
How do I calculate an overnight interval?
Select Next day. For example, 22:00 to 06:00 the next day is eight hours before breaks.
Does this calculate overtime pay?
No. It only calculates elapsed clock time and subtracts the entered break.
